As I reflect on October, I’m filled with gratitude for our amazing community! We had such a wonderful time at our Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat. We hope your children enjoyed their fall-themed lessons, pumpkin activities, and classroom celebrations. Seeing our students dressed in their Halloween costumes and festive fall attire is always one of the highlights of our year. Thank you for joining us and allowing us to be part of these special moments!
November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor the rich traditions, stories, and wisdom of the first peoples of our land. In our classrooms, children will explore themes of gratitude, storytelling, and nature through simple, meaningful activities.
This month, we are focusing on gratitude and connection. Our classrooms have many exciting activities planned, and we can’t wait to share photos with you on Links 2 Home.

Our annual Holiday Giving initiative is a way for students to spread cheer this holiday season while developing an appreciation for what they have, showing gratitude towards others, and seeing the positive impact of their actions. This year, we are collecting non-perishable food donations for families in need. We are proud to partner with the San Diego Food Bank this season. Collection bins will be available in the lobby to gather non-perishable food donations. Thank you for helping us support families in need and teach our students the importance of giving back!
Thursday, November 13 (World Kindness Day)
To celebrate World Kindness Day, classrooms will enjoy a potluck-style feast together. We will provide the turkey, and families are invited to join us starting at 11:00 a.m. during lunch. Potluck sign-up sheets will be posted on classroom windows soon—thank you for contributing to this special tradition!
Get ready to build your home library and support our school! Our Scholastic Book Fair will be open from November 3–14. Students will have the chance to browse and shop during the week, and families are encouraged to join in the fun.
