Happy February! 2026 is off to a wonderful start, and we are so excited for all the fun, learning, and growth ahead.
A big thank you to all the families who took advantage of priority registration. We are thrilled you will be continuing your journey with us at Discovery Isle for another year! To our families who will be moving away or heading off to kindergarten in the fall, please know how much you will be missed. We look forward to continuing to make meaningful memories together and to sharing a wonderful remainder of the schol year.
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we are looking forward to celebrating love, friendship, and kindness with your little ones through joyful, meaningful classroom activities. February is Black History Month. A time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of African Americans throughout history. In our classrooms, children will explore stories of inspiring individuals through books, conversations, and activities designed to help them appreciate their impact on the world around us.
We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Thursday, February 12th with lots of love and smiles! Children are welcome to bring valentines to share with their classmates and will enjoy Valentine themed activities throughout the day. Be sure to watch for classroom specific details from your child’s teacher (s).

For our infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, learning about healthy choices is part of everyday learning. Please save cookies, cupcakes, and candy for home. Thank you for helping us keep our celebration fun and nutritious!

We are excited to participate in Read for the Record, a national celebration of early literacy! This year’s featured book is See Marcus Grow, a fun and inspiring story that encourages curiosity, growth, and learning through everyday experiences.
Throughout the week, children will enjoy literacy rich activities inspired by the book. We will wrap up the celebration by making Friendship Salsa using ingredients from our garden of families. Families are invited to join us for this special event…more details coming soon!
