April is full of fresh beginnings and exciting learning adventures! This month, our students will enjoy seasonal activities, hands on experiences, and meaningful lessons centered around caring for our planet. We will also celebrate the Week of the Young Child, honoring the joy of early learning and all the ways children grow and thrive. We can’t wait to share everything this month has in store! Celebrate Early Learning: Week of the Young Child (April 11-17)
We are excited to celebrate the Week of the Young Child, an annual event sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This special week highlights the importance of early childhood education and the incredible role it plays in a child’s development.
Our school will join the celebration with hands-on, collaborative activities in music, art, food, and more. We are also excited to kick off the week with our Saturday Picnic and Open House on April 11th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This event also celebrates NAEYC’s 100-year anniversary! We hope you will join us and invite friends and family to learn more about our wonderful school community.
Earth Day
throughout the month our classrooms will explore small ways we can make a big impact on our planet. During Earth Week (April 20–24), we will focus on caring for nature, recycling, and protecting our environment.
On Earth Day, we will celebrate with our Critter Parade! Students will parade around the playground dressed as their favorite critters. We will see butterflies, bees, ladybugs, frogs, and more. This fun event helps children connect with nature and understand how even the smallest creatures play an important role in our ecosystem. We will also be releasing ladybugs into our backyard to support our local environment this is an exciting and meaningful experience for our students!
