Dear Families,

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and a very Happy New Year!

Thank you so much for your generosity last month. Our teachers, administrative team, and I truly appreciate all the thoughtfulness and care you shared. We are also incredibly grateful for your participation in our Holiday Giving initiative in partnership with the San Diego Food Bank. Together, we collected 166 pounds of food. This is enough to help provide 138 meals to those in need. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making such a meaningful impact.

Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.
This month we will be honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as part of our ongoing exploration of diversity, inclusion, and kindness. Classrooms will be reading inspiring stories and engaging in thoughtful conversations about acceptance, belonging, and how even young children can make a positive difference in the world.
Please note that we will be closed on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Special Classroom Celebrations

• National Bagel Day — Classrooms will be making bagels together to enjoy as an afternoon snack. Cooking experiences help children build early math skills through measuring, strengthen language through following directions, and develop independence and confidence in the kitchen.
• National LEGO Day — Children will design and build their own creations, supporting fine motor development, spatial reasoning, problem-solving, and creativity.
