A Note From Our Principal
Hello Discovery Isle families,
It has been too long since we have seen all our children and families – we miss everyone and look forward to the day when we can once again all be together again. We are all anxious to open back up, however we do not have a set date. Currently we are reviewing all the new Health and Safety Licensing guidelines and preparing so that when the word comes from our Corporate Spring Education Leaders, we will be ready. We will be sure to get the word out regarding re-opening dates.
I am pleased to say that our Distance Learning is doing wonderful. In addition to the weekly lessons, the children are enjoying virtual circle time and activity time each day through Zoom Calls. Thank you to our teachers Mrs. Stefanie Rasmussen and Mrs. Paige Beeler for their dedication and commitment with our Distance Learning students, every day.
May brings Teacher Appreciation Week…
The staff at our Discovery Isle Ted Williams Preschool are a group of very dedicated and highly talented teachers. While we try to show our appreciation to them every day – each year during Teacher Appreciation Week, we try to have a special week of fun daily activities and recognition for them all. This year, as you can imagine, is very different from years past. My admin team and I would like to celebrate our “Super Heroes”.
With your support and participation, we thought it would be special if your child could make a “I Miss you, or Thank You” card for their teacher and drop it off at the school (place in the box by the front door) or feel free to email a picture of your child or make a short video and send to melinda.carvalho@discoveryisle.com. I will be sure to get them out to your child’s teacher.
Thank you so much for your support.
Kindly,
Melinda Carvalho, Principal
